Pikachu Gold Star
Grade 1 is basically "we can confirm it's a real card, and that's where the good news stops."
Base Set 2 Charizard from 2000 — the English reprint run that came out after the original Base Set sold out. Rare holo, card number 4. Same artwork as the OG, same cultural weight, none of the condition luck. This one's been properly through the wars: heavy play, creasing, surface damage, the lot.
If you need a Charizard for the collection and don't have the budget for anything better, this is honest at least. It's real, it's the right card, and it looks like someone actually played Pokémon with it instead of keeping it in a sleeve since 2000.
